Frequently asked questions

What is Circular9?

Circular9 is a web directory maintained as an open ledger. Eight hundred and twenty-six sites are currently recorded across twenty-two subject columns, each entered after the site was confirmed live at the time of filing.

Is it free to submit my site?

Yes. Submitting a site for review costs nothing. If the site is live and broadly matches the scope of the directory, it will be posted to the appropriate column at the next revision.

How is the directory organised?

Sites are arranged in twenty-two subject columns — from capital and financial accounts to travel agents, legal practitioners, and an open folio for entries that do not fit a single named column. Within each column, accounts are ordered alphabetically by domain.

How do I submit a site?

Use the submission form on the Add a Site page. Enter your domain and select the column that most closely matches your site principal trade. No account or registration is required.

How are submissions reviewed?

Each submission is checked to confirm the site is live and presents recognisable content. Sites that are parked, under construction, or unreachable are not posted. There is no further editorial judgement on a site beyond basic liveability.

How often is the directory updated?

The ledger is revised periodically. New accounts accepted since the last revision are posted at the following update; accounts whose sites have gone offline are struck off at the same time.

Can I update or remove my listing?

Contact Circular9 if you need an entry corrected or removed. A site that has moved to a new domain can be updated; a site that has closed can be struck off the ledger on request.

About Circular9

Circular9 is a web directory maintained as an open ledger of sites active across the public internet. Eight hundred and twenty-six accounts are currently posted across twenty-two subject columns, each verified live before entry and subject to periodic review. The directory has been compiled without regard to any single sector or geography; the columns range from capital and financial accounts to travel agents, legal practitioners, and a large open folio that absorbs entries not readily assigned elsewhere. Adding a site to Circular9 is free of charge: submit the domain via the entry form, and accepted accounts are posted to the appropriate column at the next revision. No payment is required and no obligation attaches to a free listing.
